Percée flottante, tissu, bois, peinture acrylique, 200 x 80 x 50 cm, 2018
Percée flottante is an installation that was realized to the university of art and design of Nagoya, Japan. This artwork refers to the Japanese flag (which is an important symbol in the Japanese culture), at the same time to the Torii (which is a gate at the entrance of the sanctuaries, the symbol of the lane between two worlds), and also to the Kakejiku (which is a painting of a calligraphy made of fabric or rice paper, often findable in the traditional houses). This installation is a way to create a kind of opening in the space and invite people to enter in. It seems floating in the air and our lane create a little movement of the fabric.
